The IRS led investigation into steroids in sport started with BALCO and has implicated athletes such as Barry Bonds, Jason Giambi, Gary Sheffield, Marion Jones, Tim Montgomery, and Bill Romanowski.
Barry Bonds is still under investigation for perjury and tax evasion. Bonds said he thought the steroids he was using from BALCO were an arthritis balm and flaxseed oil.
BALCO, the lab at the middle of the steroids controversy doping athletes with undetecable steroids and other drugs gets a new logo. Syringes anchoring the Golden Gate Bridge are more fitting.
BALCO has now implicated baseball players, Barry Bonds, Gary Sheffield, Jason Giambi, Jeremy Giambi, Armando Rios, Marvin Bernard, Randy Velarde, and Benito Santiago.
